Sustainable Path was created to bring superior environmental, social, and business improvement expertise to meeting the sustainability needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The co-founders clearly saw the uniqueness of services required by SMEs (industry, associations, governments, and NGOs).
Sustainable Path was created when Rick Findlay and Ellen McGregor committed to each other and the business community to help companies become more sustainable. Demands for companies to show triple bottom line results are growing and the future promises that the bar for social and environmental stewardship plans and actions will be raised. People talk about the word sustainability a lot today. Customers are asking business owners to describe their sustainability commitments and efforts. Regulators are asking for evidence of sustainability assessments. While people often refer to sustainability as reducing one's environmental footprint, it is much broader.
